School Board Recognition Month

GPISD is extremely grateful for all the love and support that our School Board shows to our students, staff, and community. Most importantly to our Board of Trustees we say, “thank you for being all in for all kids”!  

GPHS Construction Trades students giving back to the community

Students from the Grand Prairie HS Construction Trades program of study had the opportunity to give back to residents in Grand Prairie. As part of the “Build It Forward” program, these talented students put their learning into action as they assisted a GP resident with some minor household repair needs.

GPHS Carpentry Students Recognized by City Council

Students in the Carpentry Program at Grand Prairie High School partnered with the City of Grand Prairie to construct wooden Christmas trees that were displayed in downtown GP. On January 6, the City of Grand Prairie recognized these talented students at the City Council Meeting.

Under House Bill 1481, all students in grades Pre-K-12 are prohibited from using any personal wireless communication devices at school unless the device is provided by the school/district.
