I am one of the lucky ones who gets paid for doing what they love! I've loved playing sports all my life and am blessed that I am able to continue that in my career. I grew up in Grand Prairie and attended Eisenhower Elementary School, Adams Middle School and Grand Prairie High School. After high school, I played softball (catcher) for  the University of Mary-Hardin Baylor in Belton, Texas, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Exercise and Sports Science. I began teaching in Killeen, Texas in 2000 and came back to Grand Prairie ISD to teach at GFAA in 2005.

We are implementing a new program in PE called Outdoor Adventures Education, in conjunction with the Dallas Ecological Foundation. The mission of this program is for student's to gain appreciation for the outdoors, eagerness for conservation of wildlife/habitat, and improve self esteem.  In OA, we will cover archery, angling (fishing), dutch oven cooking, survival skills, basic camping, first aid.  Fun and exciting new skills for our GFAA students!!
